Fund raising is an integral component the eXtreme 5 Challenge and has an equal weighting in the overall result as each of the other 4 challenges. It is not necessarily the fastest team on the day that wins as slower speeds can be offset by greater fund raising.
Participants can raise money for a charity of their choice. The organisers have chosen to support Homes in Zimbabwe because of the great work this charity does to look after and support the eldery throughout Zimbabwe. Your entry fee helps cover the cost of organising the event and enables any surplus to be donated to Homes in Zimbabwe. Participants are under no obligation to raise funds for this charity and all funds raised will count towards the team / individual total and the overall result.
Fund raising in the current climate is understandably more difficult - however it is not everyday that people take on the eXtreme 5 Challenge and that should help to encourage people to part with at least some small change.
